Easterside Academy have earned several awards over the past few years. All of these awards reflect the effort that all of our staff, pupils, governors and members of the community have put in to help the school grow; help develop school experiences for our pupils and have a positive effect on the local community.
The awards we have earned as a school are as follows:
- Investors in People Award
Investors in People is a recognition that an organisation looks to improve performance and realise objectives through the management and development of its people.
- Basic Skills Quality Mark
The Basic Skills Quality Mark is an inclusive award that supports the development of basic literacy and numeracy skills. As a school we have used the award as external validation and public recognition of our effective practice, performance, progress and above all continuous improvement.
- Early Years Basic Skills Quality Mark
The Quality Mark supports and recognises improving standards in the provision of communication, language and mathematics in Early Years.
- Leading in Parental Partnership Award (LPPA)
This award helps our school to work in partnership with all parents and carers. Increasing parental participation in school life leads to improved pupil progress, punctuality, attendance and behaviour. The framework supports us to encourage parents to be involved in their children's learning leading to improved outcomes in all aspects of school life.
- Music Mark Award
Nominated by Tees Valley Music Service in recognition of our commitment to quality music education.
- Sainsbury’s School Games Gold Award
The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community.
- Green Flag Award
The Eco-Schools Green Flag is an internationally recognised award for excellence in environmental action and learning.
- Learning Outside the Classroom (LOtC) Silver Award
The LOtC Award is the first national accreditation for schools which recognises, and supports the development of, learning outside the classroom across all subject areas.
- Headstart Silver Award (Supporting emotional wellbeing and resilience)
Giving all Middlesbrough’s children and young people the necessary support to build resilience and achieve good emotional health.
- CLPE Associate School (Centre of Literacy Primary Education)
Power of Reading Associate Schools are a group of carefully selected schools that have demonstrated a whole school commitment, to delivering their English Curriculum through the CLPE's flagship Power of Reading training.
- ArtsMark Silver Award
Artsmark is the creative quality standard for schools, accredited by Arts Council England. The award provides a clear framework for teachers to plan, develop and evaluate arts, culture and creativity across the curriculum.
